Experience Acupuncture
Patients in increasing numbers are discovering the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as part of their primary health care. What most people commonly refer to as acupuncture is really the profession of TCM. “Acupuncturists” may be trained in a wide range of therapeutic techniques which may include herbal medicine, body therapy, dietary advice, as well as acupuncture.
Acupuncture is a 3000 year old healing art. It is performed by inserting extremely fine needles into specific points on the body. The effects of acupuncture and herbal therapy are gentle and free of side effects.
In the United States acupuncture is best known for its effectiveness in pain reduction. However, acupuncture addresses many other issues such as gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory problems such as asthma, allergies and sinus conditions, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and ADD. In addition to treating primary health complaints the benefits of TCM include pain relief, immune enhancement, and increased energy and well-being. This is because TCM treats the whole person, not just individual symptoms.
