Continuing Education Classes & Workshops
We offer a variety of classes and workshops throughout the year. License renewal in the State of Illinois for Counselors (LCPC, LPC) is in March 2012 and for Social Workers (LCSW, LSW) in November 2011. We provide a certificate of credits earned, and we keep records of the continuing education you’ve taken with us. We offer small class sizes that ensure interaction for a more enjoyable and enriched educational experience.

Supervision Training for Counselors and Social Workers (LCPC, LPC, LCSW, LSW, other disciplines may give credit)

You have probably received materials from various organizations offering counselor supervisor training programs. Here are a few of the reasons you should meet the requirement at North Shore Wellness Services, Ltd.

  2. The six-workshop series satisfies the 18-hour requirement.
  3. Each of the 6 workshops is offered multiple times, so you can meet the requirement
    • Over the course of several months,
    • During a single 6-week series,
    • Or during a single week of intensives.
  4. Low-cost registration includes snacks and materials. Register for the series of 6 classes for $400. Single workshops cost $75 each. There is a $10 on-site registration fee per class, space permitting.

  6. You will be engaged as a community of professional learners, and not "lectured to" during the classes.
  7. Courses authored and taught under the direction of a professional counselor educator with 15 years of teaching in higher education settings.

Strategies for counseling supervision process and practice, tackling tough issues in supervision, record keeping, tools and methods for supervision.
