| Joann Chassman earned her undergraduate degree from Sacramento State University and her Masters in Human Services counseling from National Louis University.
Prior to coming to North Shore Wellness Services she worked at the Response Center in Skokie, IL counseling teens and adults dealing with interpersonal relationship challenges. She also facilitated a social skills group at Old Orchard Jr. High helping adolescent teens adopt new behavioral techniques for dealing with peers and parents.
Before coming to Illinois Joann hosted a statewide radio talk show in Alaska focusing on mental and physical health issues. Joann received the prestigious 1999 Media Award from the Alaska Mental Health Association for exceptional reporting, coverage and sensitivity to the people and issues relating to the field of mental health.
