Divorce
|
|
Coping with divorce can be one of the most difficult challenges a
person faces in a lifetime. Divorce brings up many painful emotions
such as, grief, guilt, anger, fear, and many other strong feelings.
However, ending a marriage does not mean ending the relationship,
especially when there are children involved. Setting aside strong
feelings may be the hardest part of learning to work cooperatively
with your ex, but it's also perhaps the most imperative.
This often involves working on communication, goal setting, and
careful negotiation of new boundaries and expectations as you move
forward as co-parents and ex-spouses.

Divorce counseling might involve...
- Letting go of anger
- Grief/loss issues
- Communication skills training
- Co-parenting
- Moving on
You can create a new life after divorce that is better than the one you
had before. Instead of looking backwards look forwards.
"Divorce does not have to define you; it can be used as a tool to
REdefine you."
