Course Description
This course will provide an opportunity for clinicians and students to develop a comprehensive vision of their own personal private practice and develop systematic ways of building and sustaining it. We will look at defining your niche, establishing business policies, and defining specific criteria for evaluating your work.
Course Objectives
- To help therapists create an overview of their practice.
- To clarify factors involved in running a successful psychotherapy business.
- To analyze therapists own perspectives regarding business and success.
- To articulate the process of maintaining a healthy practice.
Format of Instruction
The class will be taught through a combination of lecture and discussion.
Intended Audience
The class is open to professionals practicing in mental health fields or to students in programs preparing them for such practice. Enrollment will be limited depending on the size of the room.
Attendance, Completion, and Evaluation
Attendance records will be maintained by North Shore Wellness Services. Students will have completed the course by attending the session, participating in discussion, and completing the evaluation form. Evaluations will be completed by students at the end of the course.
Location and Times
The course will be held at North Shore Wellness Services, 3000 Dundee Road, Suite 411, Northbrook, IL. It will meet on June 29 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. for 3 clock hours. The tuition for the course will be $30.
