Depending on individual need, my practice includes psychotherapy and/or cognitive behavioral counseling.
I provide an insurance ready receipt which
can also be utilized for a medical tax deduction. If you
are a Blue Cross Blue Shield member, I can file your
insurance claim for you.

Our initial meeting provides the opportunity to get to
know one another in a confidential and secure
environment. There is no charge for the initial
consultation and if the fit seems right, we can
consider options for treatment

In my psychotherapy practice I often work with individuals who find themselves in repetitive patterns of behavior that can cause pain and limit potential. I partner with clients to gain insight into past events in order to help resolve current difficulties.

My practice also includes cognitive-behavioral therapy. Each person is seen as unique and treatment is customized to meet individual needs. Sometimes this includes developing specific behavioral strategies or considering ways to change patterns of obsessive and/or negative thinking. |

Marianne earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Northwestern University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University.
She completed an intensive two year internship at The Josselyn Center in Northfield, Illinois. Before returning to graduate school, she worked at the University of Chicago Lab School teaching nursery school, where she learned first hand the intricacies and importance of child development. Previously Marianne worked in the business field where she adapted the psychological principles of the workplace, based on classes attended at Northwestern University. |
