Areas of interest include: educational and parenting challenges, coping with chronic illness, disability, and body image concerns, grief and loss including through miscarriage and stillbirth, all aspects of health, wellness and lifestyle improvement.

Dede spent several years teaching children, teens and young adults with learning and behavior challenges in the public school system before opening a professional tutoring and educational consulting business.
She went on to provide psychosocial support to pediatric patients and their families in the hospital setting, and most recently has begun offering health and wellness coaching to individuals desiring to make lifestyle improvements.
